Thank you for your interest in making a comment or asking a question. We welcome both, but there are a few things you need to understand before you submit either one.

What happens when I submit a question?

As you can imagine, iGeekOut.Net receives LOTS of mail and email from fellow Geeks with questions regarding most every topic under the son. We typically look at all the queries within a day or so. If we know the answer off the top of our collective heads, you may be able to get an answer right away. (Relatively speaking of course, we do need to read the email after all.) However, if we need to do some research we collect those requests and try to get the answer out once a week or so. Keep in mind that we are typically looking for the questions that are the most unique, of widest interest, or simply the most “fun” to answer.

Due to the volume of requests for help, this means that your question may not be answered right away, if at all. Some questions that we are not able to answer right away can often be found in the form of a new article or posting. Often, if we find a question that is of particular interest, we will post these questions in the Help Wanted section of iGeekOut.Net. If your question is selected for posting in the Help Wanted section, fellow Geeks often respond with potential solutions. These solutions are tested out, and verified, to the best of our abilities, and are then formatted into a posting or article that can be shared with other Geeks. If there are no responses, or if the solutions that are provided by other Geeks do not work, then there are no answers posted in response to the question (unless one is found by the iGeekOut.Net staff).

Please do not be worried, or get angry, if your question is not answered right away. To be perfectly honest, we do not have the time to respond to every query that is sent in. Believe it or not, it does take quite a bit of time to maintain iGeekOut.Net, and put our various postings and articles together. Rest assured that we will do what we can to help, within the time and resources at our disposal.

While waiting for your answer, you may want to try using our search feature to see if your topic has already been addressed. There are an ever increasing amount of tips, tricks, reviews, “how-to” articles, and more being added to our database. This means that the chances are pretty good that an answer to your question might already be available. All you need to do is use the search box located at the top of every page. (If you look quickly, you’ll even see a search box even on this page!)

What If I Just Have a Comment?

If you’ve got a comment regarding one of the articles, or about anything else that you think we should know, care about, or you simply want to sound off, then we’d love to hear from you! WE believe that feedback (of all types) is something that can only be used to help us improve. As such, we look forward to hearing from you.

Why Can’t I Just E-mail You?

To avoid being swamped with spam, we are using this Web form. I assure you that it will get routed to the proper Geek, and that all submissions are addressed as quickly as is possible.

What Do I Do Now?

Well, if you’d like to ask a question or make a comment, just fill out one of the forms to the left. The more completely you fill out the form, the more assistance you are to us and the better we can answer your question or respond to your comment. We appreciate your attention to detail in this matter.

Obligatory Disclaimers

You should know that by submitting a question or a comment, via the Web site or via direct e-mail, you grant iGeekOut.Net, and our staff the unrestricted right to publish or reuse your question or comment in other forms, including but not limited to our publications and Web site. Questions may be edited as needed prior to publication (We can’t help it—we’re editors at heart). Your e-mail address is never published, and we take all reasonable precautions to protect the information you provide. (You can see our complete privacy policy if you’d like some light reading.)

You should also understand that if you choose to follow any of our advice or use any of the tips we publish, you do so at your own risk. We aren’t sitting in front of your computer or in your home; you are. You should use your own common sense regarding any information you receive from us (as you should for information you receive from anyone) and follow it only if you agree that it is appropriate and feel it could help you.
