Bio

Harry James Potter, was born July 31st, 1980 to Lily J. Potter, nee Evans, and James Potter. When he was first born, Harry was one of two children who could potentially fulfill a prophecy which was made in reference to the most powerful and evil Dark Lord in the history of the British Isle’s. This prophecy stated:

The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches…born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies…and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not…and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives…the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies…

Sybil Trelawny

Professor of Divination, Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

In an effort to ensure his uncontested triumph, Lord Voldemort started to hunt down the Potter family to kill off the young Harry. The Potter’s attempted to hide from the Dark Lord by secreting their residence with the use of the Fidelius Charm, which was designed to completely hide a secret from everyone that has not been given the passcode to it. Unfortunately, the Potter’s chose to trust the wrong person, Peter Petegrew, who turned out to be a traitor and a member of the Dark Lord’s personal army, the Death Eaters. On October 31st, 1981, Lord Voldemort confronted the Potter’s in their home and killed both James and Lily. No one knows what exactly happened next, but when the Dark Lord tried to kill young Harry, his spell rebounded back onto Lord Voldemort, and disembodied him

In the confusing aftermath, young Harry was taken to live with his mother’s sister, Petunia Dursley and her husband Vernon. To say that Harry grew up in a less than ideal environment is a gross understatement of the greatest kind. The mildest form of difficulty that Harry experienced was that his “bedroom” was nothing more that the cupboard under the stairs. He didn’t get a real bedroom until he was 11 years old when he received his letter of acceptance to the Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Until he was almost 16 years old, his family showed him little to now love or affection. The closest that he came was when his cousin, Dudley Dursley, thanked him for saving him the year before and wished him luck as the Dursley’s were being taken to a safe location.

Harry’s admittance to Hogwart’s was only the beginning of the adventures that Harry would be going through over the next seven years. In ever increasing dangerous encounters, Harry would repeatedly encounter Lord Voldemort and his minions. It wasn’t until he was 17 years old, that Harry would finally be able be able to able to reunite the legendary items called the Deathly Hallows, making him the new “Master of Death.” This new power, in addition to his amazing capacity to love, enabled him to finally defeat the Dark Lord, bringing peace to the wizarding world of the British Isle’s.
