If you live in the United States and are excited for Pokémon GO, you might be able to play the game on your own device before the end of the month! Click this link and sign up now to be eligible to be chosen as a beta tester.
On Monday, May 16, 2016, Niantic tweeted out, “#PokemonGO field testing will begin in the US later this month.” More details were made available at the same time on the Niantic blog, where the Pokémon Company and Niantic invited users to field test Pokémon GO in the United States of America. There, the Pokémon GO Development Team made sure to clarify, “Please note that sign up doesn’t guarantee access to the field test. The Pokémon GO field test will give users the opportunity to share early feedback and help improve the Pokémon GO experience. Thank you for your interest in Pokémon GO.”
This is the third region that the Pokemon GO beta has expanded to, after Japan and Australia/New Zealand. For all of the beta tests, Niantic has said that they would be opened before the end of the given month. Japan’s beta opened on the 28th (of March) and Australia/New Zealand opened on the 25th (of April). Following this pattern, we can expect Pokemon GO beta testers to gain physical access to the game during the last week (of May).
